2010 Upcoming Training Programs

                
Jeff Galloway leads the ABQ Galloway Group on their "Magic Mile" time trial. This drill is performed at the track and determines each individuals "race pace" and "training pace." This drill evaluates your current fitness level and placement into your pace group!

Spring, Summer and Fall Training Programs meet FOUR times a week!
Sunday mornings = Our scheduled "long one" session
Tuesday & Thursday evening = mid-week maintanence and/or recovery sessions
Wednesday evening = Core Strength & Stability session, led by YOU Inspired! Personal Trainer, Ann Otero-Hager

The Albuquerque Galloway Training Program strives to maintain a quality run-walk-run, walk-jog-walk or walk-shuffle-walk program. The group is comprised of individuals of all ages and fitness-levels. We are a non-competitve group, whose focus is on the achievements and successes of all its members. 

From beginners to seasoned athletes, the Albuquerque Galloway Training Program will assist you in accomplishing your goal of crossing the finish line of a 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon or Marathon injury-free!. The group truly believes in the research behind Jeff's training philosophy  and works to maintain the quality and integrity of his program. The Albuquerque Galloway Training Program is the official Jeff Galloway training program in Albuquerque and surrounding cities.

The Albuquerque Galloway Training Program meets on Sunday mornings @ various locations across the Albuquerque area. Our group runs feature walking breaks at regular intervals based on your skill level. Pace groups are set up according to current fitness levels, and a Pace Group Leader is assigned to keep the speed slow enough for all members, and to enforce walks breaks from beginning to end.

Running is more fun when running together, as each member is motivated to run more often and stay injury-free. As you share stories and pull one another along, the miles go by much more quickly. Lifelong friendships are formed in these mission-oriented, but laid back groups. 

Schedule of 2010 Albuquerque Galloway Training Programs:

  • WINTER SEASON:  January 20th - 8 Week Run-Walk-Run Fat Burning Bootcamp
    • This training program meets 3 x week
    • Monday/Wednesday evenings bootcamp component
    • Sunday mornings run-walk-run component
  • SPRING SEASON:  March 14th - Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K & 5k Training Programs
    • Marathon Group will train for the Portland Marathon, Denver Rock'n Roll Marathon and the Nike Women's Marathon
    • Half-Marathon Group will train for the Rock'n Roll San Diego Half-Marathon
    • 10k & 5k Group will train for Albuquerque's largest local fun run "Run for the Zoo"
  • SUMMER SEASON:  June 27th - Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K & 5k Training Programs  CLICK HERE to register NOW! 
    • Marathon Group will train for the P.F. Chang's Rock'n Roll Marathon in Phoenix, AZ and the Disney Marathon in Orlando, FL.
    • Half-Marathon Group will train for the Portland Half-Marathon, Denver Rock'n Roll Half-Marathon & the Nike Women's Half-Marathon
    • A local event will be chosen for the 5k/10k training program
  • FALL SEASON:  October 24th - Half-Marathon Program 
    • Half-Marathon Group will train for the P.F. Chang's Rock'n roll Half-Marathon in Phoenix and the Disney Half-Marathon in Orlando.
